Client Background
A Salon That Runs on Relationships, Not Promotions
Filiz Designs sits in a different category than most hair salons in Dallas-Fort Worth. Not because of the square footage or the price point — but because of how people feel when they’re there. Staff remember names without being reminded. Appointments run on time without feeling rushed. And the products on the shelves — sulfate-free, paraben-free lines that most DFW salons don’t even stock — tell you something about how seriously this team takes their craft.
They offer haircuts across all hair types and lengths, full color and highlights, event and bridal up-dos, and a curated product selection built around long-term hair health. But the services are almost secondary. The reason people keep coming back — and keep telling their friends — is the experience of being there.
That’s a hard thing to put in an Instagram caption. It’s an even harder thing to communicate to someone who’s never walked through the door.
The Challenge
A Reputation That Lived Entirely in Conversation
Word of mouth built Filiz Designs. Clients would leave, get stopped on the street about their hair, and send the person straight back to book. That cycle was real and it was working — but it had a ceiling.
Every client they earned the hard way was one conversation away from someone who might never have that conversation. There was no content online that could close that gap. No video, no testimonial, no piece of the brand that gave a stranger the same feeling a loyal regular had walking in on a Tuesday afternoon.
The warmth, the familiarity, the staff who remembered your last visit — none of that translated to a website or a social post. Which meant every new client Filiz Designs could have been reaching was either finding them by accident or not finding them at all.
-
Reputation without reach
the salon's best marketing was trapped in private conversations with no way to scale it
-
An online presence that felt generic
othing online reflected what made the in-person experience worth talking about
-
No content built to convert
without something that showed a stranger exactly what they were walking into, every new booking had to be earned from scratch
Our Approach
Put Real Clients in Front of the Camera and Get Out of the Way
We didn’t come in with a script. We didn’t build a shot list around services or pricing or anything the salon wanted to sell. We built the film around the people who were already sold — the clients who’d been coming for years and had things to say that no copywriter could have written better.
Brand Story Development
We dug into what made Filiz Designs different before a single camera was turned on — identifying the moments and details worth building the film around.
On-Location Production
The entire shoot happened inside the salon, capturing the real environment, real staff, and real clients in the space where the experience actually lives.
Client Testimonial Direction
We put real clients in front of the camera with zero scripting — creating space for the kind of honest, unfiltered commentary that no marketing copy can replicate.
Post-Production & Editing
Raw footage was shaped into a film with a clear narrative arc — one that pulls the viewer in emotionally before it ever mentions a service or price point.
Brand Voice Alignment
Every cut, every line of audio, and every visual choice was made to reflect the warmth and personality of Filiz Designs — not a generic salon template.
Content Built for Longevity
The film was produced to live on the website, run across social platforms, and keep working for the brand long after the shoot wrapped.
The Results
A Film That Gives Word of Mouth Somewhere to Live
The finished film doesn’t sell Filiz Designs — it shows them. There’s a difference, and viewers feel it. By the time someone finishes watching, they don’t need to be convinced the salon is good. They’ve already heard it from people who had no reason to say it other than because it was true.
Instant Trust
Real clients speaking without a script carry more weight than any ad. Viewers finish the film already convinced — before they’ve even booked.
Emotional Connection
People watching feel the atmosphere of the salon before they ever walk in. That feeling is what turns a viewer into a first-time client.
Service Clarity
The film gives prospective clients a natural, watchable look at what Filiz Designs offers — without it ever feeling like a sales pitch.
Competitive Advantage
Most DFW salons don’t have content that sounds or feels like this. The film separates Filiz Designs from every generic promotional video in the market.
What Made It Work
Three things that made this film land the way it did
Filiz Designs didn’t need a story invented for them. They needed someone to show up with a camera and not get in the way of the one they’d already built.
The clients did the selling. We just made sure the camera was rolling when they did it.
-
Authenticity Doesn't Need Direction
The most effective moment in any testimonial film is the one that wasn't planned. Every client in this production spoke without a script — and it shows in the best way. That realness is what makes a viewer trust what they're watching.
-
Atmosphere Is a Selling Point
Most salon videos lead with before-and-afters or a list of services. This one led with the feeling of being there. That distinction matters because people don't book a salon for the services alone — they book because somewhere felt right.
-
Video Has a Shelf Life That Social Posts Don't
A social post disappears in 48 hours. A brand film lives on the website, gets shared in DMs, and keeps showing up for new potential clients years after it was shot. That compounding value is what makes it worth producing properly.
